RevPACH — revenue per available court-hour — borrows the idea behind the hotel industry's RevPAR. It combines occupancy and price into one number, so a club that fills courts at low prices and a club that sells fewer hours at high prices can be compared fairly.

## Formula

`RevPACH = revenue ÷ available court-hours = occupancy rate × average revenue per booked hour`

## How to use it

### Use the same period for revenue and hours

Take revenue for a week or month and divide by the available court-hours in exactly the same period. Mixing a month of revenue with a different number of open days skews the result.

### Split it into occupancy × rate

Add booked hours to see whether RevPACH is driven by filling courts or by price. Raising one usually costs some of the other — RevPACH tells you whether the trade was worth it.

### Compare courts and venues

Because it's normalised by capacity, RevPACH lets you compare a 3-court club with a 10-court club, or an indoor court with an outdoor one.

## Example

A venue with 6 courts open 16 hours a day for 30 days has 2,880 available court-hours. With 41,000 in revenue, RevPACH is about 14.24. If 1,900 hours were booked, that's 66% occupancy at an average of 21.58 per booked hour.

## FAQ

**Why not just use revenue per court?**

Revenue per court ignores opening hours, so a court open 18 hours a day looks better than one open 12. RevPACH divides by the hours you could actually sell.

**Should RevPACH include lessons and events?**

Include whatever revenue uses court time, and be consistent. Many clubs track two versions: court rental only, and total court-related revenue.

**Is RevPACH a standard industry metric?**

It's an adaptation of RevPAR from hospitality. The name varies between operators, but the idea — revenue per unit of sellable capacity — is widely used.

**Can CourtPulse track RevPACH automatically?**

CourtPulse shows revenue per court and occupancy by court and hour from your Playtomic data, which are the two components of RevPACH.
