Membership vs pay-per-play calculator
Memberships trade some revenue per session for predictable monthly income and players who are committed to your club. Whether that trade pays depends on how often members actually play — which is exactly what booking data tells you.

Positive means the club earns more from a member than from the same play at pay-per-play prices. Below the break-even, membership earns more; above it, members get the better deal.
Formula
Break-even sessions per month = monthly fee ÷ (pay-per-play price − member price per session)How to use it
Describe both offers
Enter what a non-member pays per session, the monthly membership fee, and what a member pays per session (zero if play is included).
Use real play frequency
Enter how often a typical member plays per month. Below the break-even, the membership earns the club more than pay-per-play; above it, members get a better deal than casual players.
Weigh retention, not just revenue
A membership that earns slightly less per session can still win if members stay longer and play more often. Track repeat-booking rate and churn for members versus casual players.
Worked example
Pay-per-play is 12 per session. A membership costs 40 a month plus 6 per session. Break-even is 40 ÷ (12 − 6) = 6.7 sessions a month. A member playing 4 times pays 64 instead of 48; one playing 10 times pays 100 instead of 120.
